Law+Service™ is…

Law+Service™ is a revolutionary way to approach pro bono legal services. As a firm, we strongly believe in (1) giving back to the community, (2) creating systems by which everyone gains, and (3) multiplying our impact. Therefore, we created this program!

The Law+Service™ program is open to individuals, nonprofits, and for-profit companies. Instead of paying sometimes unaffordable fees, our participants have the option to pay down some, or all, of their bill by volunteering at approved local charities. Each volunteer hour is worth $25.¹

There are several ways to qualify for the program:

  1. Income Clients

  2. Nonprofits

  3. Greater Good

To be considered, start the application process by contacting us by email at info@lawplusplus.com

Income Based

One way to qualify for the Law+Service™ program is a result of your income and your wealth. Individuals with little to no income and little to no wealth can qualify on a project-by-project basis using the table to the right. An individual must qualify in both the income and the wealth category and be prepared to show documentation like tax returns.

Tier Income Wealth % Volunteering
1 $0-$4,999 $0-$4,999 90%
2 $5,000-$11,999 $5,000-$14,999 75%
3 $12,000-$17,999 $15,000-$29,999 50%
4 $18,000-$24,999 $30,000-$59,999 25%

Nonprofits

Our program invites any nonprofit with a local impact to apply. Qualifying nonprofits will have the ability to volunteer to pay for up to 75% of their bills at other qualifying local charities. This volunteer time must be at charities other than the participant’s and can be done by board members, officers, and staff of the organization. Excitedly, we have numerous nonprofits already in this program!

Greater Good

Because sometimes there are things in this world that don’t fit squarely into a box, yet the greater good is served nevertheless. Because of that, we’ve added a third category that allows discretion in accepting individuals and companies that otherwise add a great service to the community at large. This is reserved for extraordinary circumstances.
